Russell Goldston IV, senior VP of Business Development, Gourmet
Services, Inc., and son of the late Nathaniel Goldston said, during
the unveiling, "Many times growing up, it seemed burdensome to
be the son of a great man because I had to share so much of him
with the rest of the world. However as I now stand, a man, and
looking back at his accomplishments, the struggles, the successes
and the blessings, I am awestruck and inspired by my father's
life. I am proud that the community that he so diligently serves
has chosen to recognize his lifelong efforts and accomplishments.
It is [be]fitting that he be honored as a living legend."
Nathaniel R. Goldston, III, is founder of Gourmet Services, Inc.
and serves as the chairman of the board and chief executive officer.
He is responsible for the strategic development of the corporation
and is its premier salesman. The Omaha, Nebraska, native earned
a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a
major in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of
Denver.
His post-graduate work includes a study of dietetics, real estate,
and law. Mr. Goldston began his professional career at an early
age, working in foodservice at a local hotel with his father.

Great Blacks in Wax Museum.

management while serving as Food Service Director for a major
food service company. He advanced to the positions of District
Manager, Regional Vice President and Senior Vice President within
the company. He left to pursue his dream of entrepreneurship and
founded Gourmet Services, Inc. in 1975.
Mr. Goldston has received several awards and honors recognizing
his many accomplishments in the food service and business arenas
including:: The "Catalyst Award for Atlanta's Most Promising
Business," 'Special Achievement Award in Business', Black
Enterprise Magazine, Business of the Year, and the Interracial
Council for Business Opportunity. He has been recognized twice
by Metro Magazine for Pioneering and New Markets Concepts, Georgia
Trend Magazine as "Georgia's Leading Business People",
"Entrepreneur of the Year" by the Atlanta Business League
and received "The Trumpet Award" from Turner Broadcasting.
Mr. Goldston has served in leadership roles with numerous community
organizations including: president, 100 Black Men of America,
president and founding member 100 Black Men of Atlanta, and the
Atlanta Business League, to name a few. He currently serves as
a member of the Board of trustees of the University of Denver,
Wilberforce University, The Atlanta Diabetes Association, Chairman
of the National Junior Golf Scholarship Association, Chairman
of Georgia Peace Office Scholarship Fund and Vice Chairman of
Georgia Center for Children.
